Our family stories, our family histories, are passed down through the food we share and the recipes we hand on.

In Our Food, Our Family food gourmet Michela Chiappa goes on a series of mouth-watering trips around the country, meeting families and persuading them to open-up their treasured cookbooks and their kitchens to cook up some mouth-watering dishes.

Along the way Michela learns the fascinating and often colourful histories behind the recipes, full of rich family stories and legends. She discovers some new and unexpected ingredients and uncovers fascinating family folklore that even the families themselves don’t always know.
