GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES

Based on the Garage Sale Mystery book series written by Suzi Weinert, this mystery film series followed the story of an antique dealer, Jennifer Shannon, who had a knack for finding murders. Her eye for details leads her to help solve these murders, even if it means, putting her life in danger.

Garage Sale Mystery #5: Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Jennifer Shannon, co-owner of Rags to Riches, the consignment shop she runs with her friend Dani, has a knack for garage-sale treasure hunting. Despite her husband’s apprehension, she’s also skilled at solving crimes. That’ll come in handy. Her old college pal, Sandra, is closing up her antiques store and Jennifer is privilege to all the exquisite pieces. What she didn’t expect to find is a dead body. Even worse, Sandra is arrested for the murder. Jennifer has no choice but to prove her friend's innocence. It won’t be easy—because every bit of evidence, and every cleverly planted clue all point to Sandra.

Garage Sale Mystery #6: The Novel Murders

Jennifer Shannon is a garage sale shopping expert whose sharp observation skills allow her to uncover valuable antiques, as well as help her local police department solve mysteries. Jennifer is asked to make a home delivery for a customer, but she finds the recipient has been murdered. Jennifer soon realizes that the victim’s cold-blooded demise is a re-enactment of a murder in a classic mystery novel. When Jennifer discovers connections between suspects and victims, and uncovers their ties to the literary world, she must race against time to solve the Novel Murders case, without becoming the killer’s next victim.

Garage Sale Mystery #7: The Art of Murder

No sooner does Jennifer Shannon agree to host a garage sale to raise money for her daughter Hannah’s sorority, than a sorority sister’s stepmother is found dead in an attic. Her death is ruled an accident, but Jennifer believes otherwise. Especially when her investigation yields an unexpected connection to a painting that mysteriously vanished long ago. Now Jennifer must find a cunning art thief who may be equally adept in the art of murder.

Garage Sale Mystery #8: The Beach Murder

Consignment-shop owner, Jennifer Shannon, is shocked to hear that the wealthy husband of a long time client has washed up on the beach in an unseasonal summer wetsuit. It’s been ruled an accident, but for Jennifer there’s nothing about Steve’s death that suggests anything less that murder. With the help of Detective Lynwood, Jennifer has a windswell of clues and suspects to wade through: a very territorial surfer with a criminal record, an attack on Steve’s business partner by a masked stranger, a stolen photograph of Steve and his brother, and even a witness—however unreliable—to something sinister. But it’s after another suspicious death that Jennifer fears this case is going to take her deeper below the surface than even she imagined.

Garage Sale Mystery #9: Murder by Text

It’s not just anyone who drops off a pile of jackets at Jennifer Shannon’s consignment store. It’s Lita, bass player for one of Jennifer’s all-time favorite singers. Not only is Tommy’s comeback tour passing through town, but Jennifer’s been given a personal invite to a soundcheck. The backstage event takes an unexpected turn when Lita suddenly texts that’s she leaving the band. Her suicide later that day confirms that it’s permanent. Jennifer’s not the only one who suspects it could be murder. Detective Lynwood’s got her back. But when another member of Tommy’s entourage drops, Jennifer fears that Tommy may not be rehearsing for a comeback—but rather a swansong.

Garage Sale Mystery #10: Murder Most Medieval

On an antique hunt for a wealthy client, consignment shop owner Jennifer Shannon comes across a great buy for the medieval league fighter: a replica of a knight’s suit of armor. But they’re in for a surprise: it’s authentic, it’s worth a fortune, and encased within it is the corpse of a local Professor of Medieval Studies who’d coveted the treasure for himself—only to be bludgeoned to death with a spiked mace. The value of the combat armor is motive enough for Detective Lynwood to run with. Not for Jennifer—especially after she’s sent a varsity t-shirt splattered with the professor’s blood. Someone’s being schooled in crime, and Jennifer soon learns that the professor’s death is only the beginning of a lesson in murder.

Garage Sale Mystery #11: Case of Murder

When Jennifer Shannon buys a reel-to-reel recorder at a garage sale, she expects the tapes to be blank. Instead she finds herself eavesdropping on a very private and anxious moment for a therapist named Dr. Vetter. It turns it’s also his last. Only days later his body is found in an apartment he rented on the sly—stabbed to death and with all trace evidence scrubbed clean. After Jennifer and Detective Lynwood start investigating the members of Vetter’s angry therapy group, it becomes clear that any one of them could have a motive to kill. Now, unless one of Vetter’s patients is ready to share, it’s left to Jennifer and Lynwood to delve into a therapist’s secret life, and root out an enemy with a mind for murder.

Garage Sale Mysteries #12: The Pandora's Box Murders

Garage sale guru and amateur sleuth Jennifer Shannon agrees to appear on a new reality TV series. During the show she comes in contact with a mysterious puzzle box, in which the box’s now-deceased creator may have placed the clue to her killer. When the dead woman’s daughter-in-law is found dead just a few days later, Jennifer’s curiosity once again places her in harm’s way as she embarks on her own unorthodox investigation of the murders.

Garage Sale Mysteries #13: The Mask Murder

Garage sale guru Jennifer Shannon (Loughlin) discovers a dead body in the storage locker she and business partner Dani (Strange) have purchased at auction. When further inspection of the locker’s contents reveals plaster “death masks,” and one of those masks perfectly matches the dead woman’s visage, Jennifer’s “inner sleuth” kicks into overdrive as she works to piece together the clues that will lead to the killer.

Garage Sale Mysteries #14: Picture A Murder

After taking a vintage camera collection on consignment following the death of a local collector, garage sale guru and amateur sleuth Jennifer Shannon becomes involved in the search for a killer when an undeveloped photo in one of the cameras leads her to believe that the man might have died from very unnatural causes.

Garage Sale Mysteries #15: Murder in D Minor

When a local art collector dies and his expansive collection is auctioned off, garage sale guru and amateur sleuth Jennifer Shannon (Loughlin) and business partner Dani (Strange) purchase a rare piece. However, when the provenance of the entire collection comes into question, and Jenn determines that the man may have a secret stash of ill-gotten treasures hidden away, she finds herself investigating a pre-meditated murder.
