In the hostile Australian Outback, five courageous crystal hunting teams confront extreme conditions, from scorching deserts to frigid underground mines, in a bid to unearth some of the world's rarest and breathtaking crystals.

Fuelled by celebrity endorsements and a four-trillion-dollar-a-year global wellness industry, the crystal trade is booming, and Australia has some of the most ancient & richest deposits on earth.

Outback Crystal Hunters are on a quest to uncover these geological marvels - from giant million-dollar Amethyst clusters to magical, colour-changing Zircons. All these impassioned crystal hunters are driven to unearth and showcase these ancient wonders to the world while hungry to secure a life-changing payday.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 1: MILLION DOLLAR BABY

Patrick and Kirsty unearth a giant million-dollar Amethyst cluster, Pete & Kyle struggle to extract extremely fragile and rare Crocoite crystals while the Rockhounds desperately need a haul of lucrative Topaz crystals to pay their bills.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 2: HOT AS HELL

Patrick Gundersen confronts over forty degrees Celsius temperatures to recover Australia’s biggest ever, million-dollar Amethyst cluster as the Rockhounds also face searing tropical heat while in stark contrast, Pete and Kyle struggle in frigid conditions to extract a hundred-thousand-dollar Crocoite crystal.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 3: DIGGERS, DINGOES & DEBT

Patrick and Kirsty search for rare Aquamarine crystals on their remote Queensland lease, Frankie & Ebriony face off against wild pigs and the threat of Dingos while veteran prospectors Terry & Paul hunt for thirty-thousand-dollar Zircon crystals.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 4: HOUR OF NEED

Hugh and Jarrin need an eleventh-hour miracle to keep their mining operation alive, Patrick and Kirsty are desperate for an $80,000 payday of high-grade crystals while veteran prospector Terry sets up a makeshift forge and overcomes extreme temperatures in his hunt for the oldest mineral on earth.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 5: MOOKAITE N MIRACLES

The Rockhounds need an eleven-thousand-dollar miracle to turn their season around, Kirsty and Patrick urgently need to find rare Ocean Kyanite crystals to have any chance of recouping their huge debt while Kyle Archer strikes a monster $200,000 payday of Mookaite.

SESAON 1 EPISODE 6: THRILL OF THE HUNT

Pete and Kyle take the biggest gamble of their season hunting valuable Tourmaline crystals as Hugh and Jarrin tackle the world’s only Stitchtite quarry while Patrick and Luke explore not far from where a $250,000 crystal was unearthed.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 7: DEADLY CROCS - DANGEROUS AIR

The Rockhounds hunt a tropical rainforest river system not far from crocodile-infested waters as Patrick and Kirsty return to the site they found their million-dollar Amethyst. Jarrin and Hugh confront low oxygen levels and crumbling mine walls.

SEASON 1 EPISODE 8: CRYSTAL CLIMAX

In the final week of the season, Patrick gets an offer for their million-dollar Amethyst cluster while his team race to unearth $200,000 of crystals, The Rockhounds face dangerously high tropical heat & humidity while Hugh and Jarrin hunt for $25,000 of Crocoite crystals in just five days, over 50 metres underground.

SEASON 2 EPISODE 1: AQUA HUES AND SAPPHIRE BLUES

Patrick Gundersen’s team tackles harsh terrain in the hunt for aquamarine. Jarrin and Hugh dig for rare and fragile crocoite in the crumbling walls of an ancient mine, while new team, The Rubyvale Boys, battle against mechanical malfunctions in their pursuit of precious sapphire.

SEASON 2 EPISODE 2: SAFETY THONGS

Newcomer, Neil Wilkinson Jnr., abseils down a deadly mineshaft in search of cubic fluorite, while Jarrin and Hugh take the plunge into frigid waters, sieving and sniping for Tasmanian sapphire. Kyle and Glenn race to recover costs of their massive quartz mining operation. 

SEASON 2 EPISODE 3: HEART OF (DARWIN) GLASS

The Rubyvale Boys help a neighbour in need for a cut of the sapphire spoils as crystal kingpin, Tom Kapitany, leads an expedition into the Tasmanian mountains in search of elusive meteorite-impact glass. Patrick Gundersen battles steep slopes and dense bush to reach old timers’ aquamarine diggings.

SEASON 2 EPISODE 4: ROCK HARD

Desperate to hit their monster season target, Patrick and Kirsty revisit a 15-year-old ocean kyanite dig site. Kyle and Glenn must bring in reinforcements and pivot from quartz to black agate for any hope of reaching their massive dig target, while Neil Wilkinson Jnr. and his father, Neil Snr., move heaven and granite on their hunt for gem topaz.

SEASON 2 EPISODE 5: NO SHAYNE NO GAIN 

In their desperate bid to set up a second sapphire mine, The Rubyvale Boys face a cascade of equipment failures, while Frankie and Ebriony trudge through dense grasslands on the hunt for peridot. The Neils risk their lives in the sweltering heat of an abandoned quartz mine to stave off mounting bills. 

SEASON 2 EPISODE 6: FISSION FOR STICHTITE 

Patrick Gundersen’s delicate operation to extract Australia’s largest smoky quartz cluster is derailed by hard ground, while Jarrin and Hugh’s stichtite dig forces them to resort to more explosive measures. Kyle’s relationship with girlfriend, Jillian, is on the rocks as the pair futilely hunt for Killiecrankie diamonds. 

SEASON 2 EPISODE 7: RED LEAD REDEMPTION 

After a near-catastrophic cave-in at Shane Dohnt’s crocoite mine, Kyle Archer and his team must work an abandoned drive reclaimed by rainforest, while Frankie and Ebriony’s grassland garnet expedition is cut short by bushfires. Their second sapphire mine still offline, The Rubyvale Boys send Shayne underground for any hope of reaching season target. 

SEASON 2 EPISODE 8: FROM THE PINNACLE TO THE PIT

Amidst season-ending rain, Jarrin and Hugh hunt for anything and everything in the walls of their tired mine, while Patrick Gundersen’s hopes of hitting season target lie within a massive column of potentially crystal-bearing rock. Desperate for cash, The Neils return to ‘Topaz Mountain’, risking life and limb against deadly boulders.
