As someone who lives with anxiety and depression, comedian Celia Pacquola thinks she’s kind of got it covered. The only thing is, she hasn’t quite worked out how to ‘fix’ it, and in truth, is sceptical of the whole idea.
The other problem is that Celia is terrified of doing things without a script – and the making a documentary is a bit of a nightmare. So why is she on the road? Because Celia knows that by talking about it, she and Australia can begin to break down the stigma around mental health. And considering over 3 million Australians live with anxiety 1– it’s probably worth talking about.
Driven to help uncover the mystery of anxiety and those suffering from it, Celia crosses the country, meeting with everybody from AFL footballers to high school students, medical experts and celebrities, who open up to Celia about their experiences with this sometimes crippling disorder.
But whilst on this journey, Celia begins to question her own relationship with anxiety - something she always thought was manageable. But is she really telling herself the truth? And if not, what is she going to do about it?
